 Twelve Emerging Ghanaian Filmmakers Shortlisted for AiF Talent Connect 2025

Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) is proud to announce the twelve finalists selected for the AiF Talent Connect 2025, a special short film market platform designed to spotlight emerging Ghanaian filmmakers with compelling projects in development.

As part of the 7th edition of the festival, the selected filmmakers will participate in a closed-door pitch session on 7th August 2025, where they will present their works-in-progress to a panel of industry professionals. At the end of the session, two outstanding projects will be selected to pitch at the prestigious Talent Connexion during the 48th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France in February 2026.

This year’s finalists and their projects are:

  • Agnes Nyarkoa Eshun – Class 3 Maame 
  • Junaid Timtooni Yakubu – It’s So Cold Outside 
  • Deborah Aduamah Okyerewaa – What Do You See  
  • Esiawonam Adisenu – Fine Flowers for Veronica 
  • Hilda Ohemaa Afrakoma – Jars
  • Najaat Suhuyini Hussein – The Screens Have Been Silent 
  • Innocent Adjei – Brenya  
  • Mill Francis – Agogo 
  • Akua Agyekumwaa – Unbroken 
  • Jacob A. Osae – The Purging

AiF Talent Connect continues to be a powerful bridge between local talent and international opportunity, affirming AiF’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of Ghanaian storytellers.
